“Cult Of The Lamb” Announces Woolhaven Expansion for Early 2026, Bringing Winter and New Systems

Massive Monster and Devolver Digital have announced a major, full-length story expansion for their hit roguelite/management game, Cult of the Lamb, titled Woolhaven. The expansion is set to launch across all platforms (PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch) in early 2026.

What is Woolhaven?

The Woolhaven expansion introduces a significant new chapter to the game’s lore and gameplay, with the size of the content reportedly being almost the length of the original base game. The main themes revolve around a harsh winter setting and the forgotten history of the Lamb’s kin.

Key New Features and Content:

• New Story & Biome: The Lamb is summoned by Yngya, the forgotten God of the Lambs, to a mysterious, snow-covered mountain. Players must return the lost souls of their kin, rebuild the fallen town of Woolhaven, and uncover the truth of the fallen lambs.
• New Dungeons: The expansion includes two vast new dungeons within the frozen realm, filled with corrupted creatures and secrets of the past.
• Cult Survival Mechanics: The harsh winter conditions introduce a new layer of management. Players must endure blizzards and freezing temperatures that threaten follower survival, requiring the construction of new structures to provide warmth and protection from frostbite and famine.
• Ranching System: A brand new Ranching system will be unlocked at the Cult base. This allows the Lamb to breed and care for rare animals that provide resources like wool and warmth, and can even be tamed or ridden.

Release Details

The Woolhaven expansion will be released in early 2026. Unlike the numerous free content updates the game has received, Woolhaven will be a paid DLC offering a substantial amount of new narrative and systems-based content. It is designed to be accessible near the completion point of the base game’s main story.
