The highly-anticipated ‘Minecraft Pack’ DLC for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds officially launched yesterday, October 8, bringing the iconic blocky universe of Minecraft into SEGA’s new dimension-hopping kart racer.

This is the first major collaboration pack for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds and is available as a standalone purchase ($5.99 USD) or as part of the game’s Season Pass (included with the Digital Deluxe Edition).

What’s Included in the Minecraft Pack?

The DLC is a generous addition for fans of both franchises, featuring:

  • New Racers: Three fan-favorite characters join the roster: Steve, Alex, and the unpredictable Creeper.
  • New Vehicle: Race across the tracks in the block-tastic Minecart Vehicle, which comes with six unique decals.
  • New Course: A brand-new track, Minecraft World Course, which takes racers through iconic Minecraft environments like the Overworld, the Nether, and a glimpse of the Ender Dragon.
  • Music & Emotes: The pack includes five original Minecraft music tracks, new remixes of those tracks, and six distinct emotes for each of the new characters.

Don’t Miss the Minecraft Festival Event!

To celebrate the launch, the game is also hosting a special in-game event:

  • Event Name: Minecraft Festival
  • Dates: Running from October 9 to October 11 (Check in-game times for your local time zone).
  • Important Note: Players do not need to purchase the DLC to participate in the Minecraft Festival event.

The Minecraft Pack is the first of several planned major crossover expansions for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds. Future packs announced as part of the Season Pass include content from SpongeBob SquarePants, PAC-MAN, Mega Man, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Avatar Legends.
